Abstract:
From the conclusions of the first paper of the series “Reforms for Progress”, we have seen that there is the need for a set of reforms that establish a culture of citizenship, democracy, respect for diversity within society and political pluralism, reinforces the harmony between the state and the citizen and reinforces the centrality of politics. In the second paper of this series, and after the presentation of some elements of the political ideology of the Algerian regime that brought us to a standstill, a number of these reforms, intellectual, behavioral and structural, have been proposed to enabled us all, government and opposition, both civilian and military, to work together for the future of our country and to recognize equal citizenship for all the sons and daughters of our country in their diversity, and to adopt a culture of diversity and respect for the right to be different. The absence of confidence in the political system – government and opposition – of the citizens, will inevitably results in the absence of consensus between the state and the citizen. Also, the citizens will not respond to successive governments and opposition leaders. Simply because citizens will not find the policies of governments nor the opposition practices that serve them in their diversity. Therefore, in this third paper of the series, some of the elements that should be included in the political ideology of the future political system are proposed to achieve harmony between the state and citizens in their diversity, which will free their social energies and move them in a unified direction to bring about the desired economic transformation, and to deal with Algerian reality. It is a national strategic project that requires our participation as Algerian citizens in our diversity.
